About My Photography concept:
I’m honored to capture your most unforgettable moments and the joy of your love story. Every couple I meet has their own magic—whether it’s childhood sweethearts, love at first sight, quiet understanding, or playful banter. I love documenting these unique connections and celebrating love in all its beautiful forms.
Use Your Story to Create Unique Images
When I photograph someone I don’t yet know, there’s a natural distance — and that distance can be felt in the images. The more I understand you, the more I can reveal your true character and emotions. That’s why I take the time to learn your story, your preferences, and the moments that matter most. These become the heart of my inspiration. Together, we shape the vision — from themes and locations to the smallest details so every image feels authentically you. Even the simplest everyday moments can become unforgettable when they reflect who you are. This is what I love most about photography: turning the ordinary into something deeply personal and meaningful
A Scene Written Just for You
I believe the most powerful part of photography is stepping into a moment that feels like a scene from a film — memorable, meaningful, and sometimes a bit challenging. That’s where I thrive. Instead of stiff poses, I shape the atmosphere and guide you gently into moments that feel natural, letting your connection unfold with real emotion. Through light, mood, and intentional direction, I create a cinematic experience grounded in authenticity and joy. Beautiful locations, gowns, and makeup can elevate a photo, but they aren’t the story. The story is your emotion, your truth, your love.
Have Some Fun Ideas
Through our conversations before and during the shoot, I get to know more about you—not just as a client, but as a friend. It’s not just about taking photos; it’s about creating a fun, comfortable space where we can laugh, be ourselves, and even share a few silly moments.
And when we bring playful, creative ideas to life together, the results can be truly unexpected. You might just be surprised at how much joy and personality shine through when you see the final images!
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story can make all the difference.

What is your refund or cancellation policy? (In case of unforeseen COVID issues)
The deposit is not refundable. When we meet unforeseen issues like Covid, you can reschedule to the day that works for both of us without extra charge and the deposit will save as credits for one year if the reschedule time is uncertain. For any other issue, there will be one time to reschedule with no extra charge if I get informed three months before the shooting day. There is $300 reschedule fee if I get informed to reschedule the photoshoot day less than three month. There is $600 reschedule fee if you reschedule the photoshoot day less 10 days before the shooting day. For engagement/prewedding, I will also save the day after the shooting day as back up day or the most recent available day in case of weather issue like raining, storm etc.
Are you able to take specific pictures requested, such as: 1st look, wedding site, cake, etc.?
Yes! I recommend preparing a family and bridal party list and sending it to me along with your wedding schedule.
If you have any surprise plans—such as a first look, cake cutting, or any special moments—please let me know when we go over the details of your timeline so I can be fully prepared to capture them.
I do not want to have my photos posted anywhere nor be used for social media or any promotional purpose, is that something you can change in your contract?
There will be pretty expensive charge to add additional privacy or confidential terms in the contract. The price will depend on how long the privacy term will apply on. For example, you want the privacy terms to hold for decades. Since that means I need to give up the copyright and marketing value for the photos. The package price will be tripled and up. Also, the consistency of the wedding photography business is relied on the social media to keep posting/blogging and each photos I took have great marketing value behind to win the contest reward and draw lots of engaged people to my account, that is why the additional confidential agreement will cost more shooting fee to cover the potential investment value behind my high quality photos.
What happens if you get sick on that day and are unable to make it?
Barring extraordinary circumstances or unforeseen disasters, I will be present for your wedding.
If you book two photographers, the second photographer will have a style consistent with mine and serve as a backup.
If you book only one photographer, in the rare event of an emergency preventing my attendance, I will make every effort to secure a qualified replacement through my professional network.
In the event of an extreme circumstance that renders me (Jim Lee) personally unable to perform the photography, the Client may choose to nullify this contract, and any deposit or balance paid will be fully refunded.
Will we have the rights to the images?
Clients have full rights for personal use, including making prints, creating albums, and sharing photos on social media. However, copyrights remain with Jim Lee Vision, meaning the images cannot be used for commercial purposes, re-edited, or modified before posting on social media.
If you work in the photography or art industry, proper credit to Jim Lee Vision is required when sharing the images online.
Would the 6 hours or 8 hours photoshoot be continuous, or could it be split into 2 photoshoots?
Yes, the engagement/pre-wedding package is a continuous session. In most cases, it takes place in a single city and is completed within one day, avoiding the need for additional makeup sessions and extra costs.
However, there is flexibility if you plan something special, such as a road trip or hiking adventure. In such cases, any additional round-trip travel expenses or overnight accommodations would need to be covered.
If, after reviewing your plans, I find that splitting session into multiple days would be more practical and beneficial, I’ll be happy to accommodate that.
What equipment do you use? Do you have back up equipment?
I have two Canon Eos R5, one canon 5D mark VI, one canon film camera; Lenses: EF 24mm f1.4 L, 35mm f1.4 L II, 50mm f1.2 L, RF 85mm f1.2, RF 70-200mm F2.8, professional flashlights and LED lights, memory cards for dual saving images.
My wife and I were browsing IG during wedding planning when we saw Jim's photos of another wedding at our selected venue. Viewing those pictures, my wife and I just loved the angles and composition of Jim's photos and knew that Jim would be hard to beat. Something I didn't realize before I got married was how much time you spend with your photographer on your wedding day. I think I probably spend more time with them than I did with my actual wife and groomsmen. Having say that, I was glad that Jim and Ryan were my photographers. They were really cool, funny guys to chat with throughout the wedding and you can tell they were passionate about getting the best photos they can get out of my wife and me. I appreciate they were always want to try out new poses, new angles, and new props so that the pictures stand out. Jim was also a great photographer for our families as he knows Chinese and was able to give out great instructions even to my family members who didn't speak the best English. It was pretty funny too when we weren't quite sure what we were doing during the Chinese tea ceremony and Jim was able to step in and give us some instructions. We got our wedding photos a month after our wedding date and we were not disappointed. Jim's selection of curated photos that he touched up were all amazing and were all worthy to be set as wallpapers on our phones. They were simply more interesting to look than most typical wedding photos we've seen elsewhere. And honestly, even the rest of the photos that weren't touch up or part of the curated batch were amazing to look at.
