We would definitely recommend Jim to our friends. We found Jim on Instagram and hired him to be our photographer for our wedding day & engagement photos shooting. Both of us like the color tone of his photos and he always writes a brief paragraph about the couple which helps the photos to tell their story. Before shooting the engagement photos, Jim asked us if we have specific locations would like to take pictures and give us advice on outfit matching (color & style). Jim tried his best to shoot as many photos as possible in each location, and he didn't mind walking ahead of us and looking for a good angle to shoot. Jim is responsible, and he replies to messages & emails quickly. He is flexible. At the last minute, he let us add a shooting location. He is thoughtful. He understood it would be tiring for me to run in the heavy gown on the beach, so he took a couple of shots before asking us to run. He returned the photos to us on time (even ahead of schedule). Jim also shared with me about the color tone & design of the centerpiece & bouquet would look better in reality and in photos. Jim Lee is an amazing photographer!! The main reason why we chose Jim Lee is because after we browsed around the portfolio from many photographers, we feel that the photos from Jim Lee are more natural compared with others and have his own style with each set of them telling a small story. We booked an eight hour session with him for our wedding day, and we are very satisfied with the overall process and final photo set from him. The communication with Jim Lee had been very smooth and effective. Before the wedding day, he had several calls with us to check with us what kind of style we want the photos to be, and based on our needs, he gave us some recommendations about the actual places for photo shooting, the types of clothing which can best fit the scene, and the estimated time we might spend at each scene, etc. Another fact that made us surprised is that after the wedding days, it only took a few weeks that we received the photos from him, which is ahead of the estimated schedule. And, we are very satisfied with the photos he took which capture all the cherished moments in our wedding day in a natural way! I really recommend Jim Lee as a photographer!!

I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a unique and custom to you photoshoot as he takes in the details of your story, combines it with his amazing vision (and your preferences!) and truly creates works of art in the form of photos Our Details: Occasion: engagement photoshoot Length: 8 hr shoot Location: SoCal Participants: fiance, me and our two dogs! His details/our experience: Communication: before the shoot Jim and I exchanged countless emails since I tend to ask a lot of questions. He answered each and every one of them in a timely manner and provided great advice which clearly demonstrated his level of experience and passion for his work. I greatly appreciated this and felt more at ease and never like an inconvenience as some vendors may tend to get frustrated or short with lots of questions. Planning: He took the time to ask us what we like to do, then he crafted a beautiful day / idea that we could work off of. My fiance and I tweaked small details here n there and selected 3out of the 4 locations we went to. Then day of we were even able to squeeze in on extra location based on Jim's recommendation which we LOVED. Promptness: Jim started our shoot right on time and worked hard til we were done!
