JM Cellars Seattle Wedding | Wenxue and Jason
Every wedding is a chance to discover a new love story—and a glimpse into the beauty of local traditions.
Chinese wedding customs vary across regions, each with its own charm. This time, I witnessed a Shandong family preparing wide red noodles using dragon fruit and flour—a symbolic blessing of joy and abundance for the couple.
After the tea ceremony, the couple shared a quiet ritual with deep roots. Moments like these remind me how meaningful it is to carry forward even a piece of one’s heritage, especially while living far from home.
Vows and speeches are always my favorite part—hearing the journey of two people, especially those building a life in a new country, always speaks to something deeper.
