San Francisco City Hall | San Francisco Bay Area Wedding

A wedding could have been a solemn affair. They chose to make it something worth laughing about.

After the private ceremony, everyone moved to Palette Tea House. Dim sum baskets arrived one after another, and so did the laughter. Some were focused on their Bingo cards, others were busy cheering whenever the couple won. The little gifts they had prepared felt less like prizes and more like an excuse for everyone to show up fully for the day.

When the banquet wound down, we wandered into Chinatown. Painted walls, old posters, the worn edges of street corners. The city felt suddenly close, and very lived-in. Every bit of that day became the best chapter of their story.
